The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
