19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev claimed his first championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt from spring of that year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his past six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's defensive approach and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.
He rescued four initial break points in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner earned the win with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
